Begelton among seven Stampeders held out of Tuesday practice

CALGARY — The Stampeders opened their week of preparation for Saturday’s home game against the BC Lions with seven players held out of Tuesday’s practice, including receiver Reggie Begelton.

Begelton (knee) did not participate, and the receiving corps is the thinnest spot on the roster: Damien Alford (head) also sat out, while Ajou Ajou (neck) and Dejon Brissett (elbow) were limited.

The secondary is short as well, with Adrian Greene (head) and Godfrey Onyeka (hamstring) both out, along with linebacker Eric Rascoe (hamstring). Derrick Moncrief (hamstring) was a full participant. On the offensive line, Brad Ashmore (foot) and Zack Williams (ankle) did not practise, while D’Antne Demery (ankle) and defensive lineman Elijah Hills (ankle) were full participants.

Calgary hosts BC at McMahon Stadium on Saturday at 5 p.m. MT, 7 p.m. ET, in the regular-season finale.
