VANCOUVER — The BC Lions will be without defensive back Garry Peters and receiver Nate Demontagnac for Saturday's Western Final.
Peters (knee) and Demontagnac (hip), both questionable on Thursday's final injury report, are not on the game roster the Lions released Friday for the Western Final against the Edmonton Elks at Commonwealth Stadium. Linebacker Parker McKenna (head), the third questionable player on Thursday's report, is also out.
Defensive back Stantley Thomas-Oliver and receiver Hergy Mayala are the two changes from last week, dressing in place of Peters and Demontagnac.
Nathan Rourke starts at quarterback, with Chris Oladokun and Kaidon Salter also dressing. James Butler starts at running back behind an offensive line of Kory Woodruff, Anu Una, Michael Couture, Brandon Yates and Tyran Hunt.
The receiving group is Keon Hatcher, Jevon Cottoy, Justin McInnis, Jermaine Jackson, Stanley Berryhill and Mayala.
Darnell Sankey and Adam Konar start at linebacker after both were cleared on Thursday's final report, with Deontai Williams at nickel. Mathieu Betts and Lorenzo Mauldin start at defensive end with Casey Sayles and Jonah Tavai inside, on a defensive line that had five players ruled out on the final injury report.
The secondary has Robert Carter Jr. and Ronald Kent Jr. at corner, T.J. Lee and Jackson Findlay at halfback and Cristophe Beaulieu at safety.
Sean Whyte kicks, Carl Meyer punts and Cam Foran is the long snapper.
The Lions and Elks meet Saturday at 5:30 p.m. ABT at Commonwealth Stadium, with a berth in the 113th Grey Cup on the line. The game is on TSN and RDS in Canada and streams on CFL+ in the United States and internationally.
