Five Lions named to West Division All-CFL team

VANCOUVER — The BC Lions placed five players on the West Division All-CFL team announced Thursday, with quarterback Nathan Rourke, receiver Keon Hatcher Sr., linebacker Darnell Sankey and defensive backs Deontai Williams and Jackson Findlay all earning divisional honours.

Rourke was named to the divisional team for the second time in his career. He moved into fifth place on the Lions' all-time passing list this season, reaching 15,788 yards to pass Joe Paopao, Jonathon Jennings and Dave Dickenson. In 15 starts he completed 313 of 444 passes for 4,614 yards and 24 touchdowns, and added 356 rushing yards and three touchdowns on 31 carries. He also earned his third career nomination for the league's Most Outstanding Canadian award.

Hatcher Sr. picked up his third career selection after catching 74 passes for 1,147 yards and eight touchdowns. His season high of 162 receiving yards came against Calgary in Touchdown Kelowna in Week 4, and 2026 marked the fourth time in five seasons he has passed 1,000 receiving yards.

Sankey was selected for the third time, after East Division honours in 2024 and 2025, and is a finalist for the league's Most Outstanding Defensive Player award. He became the second player in CFL history, after Willie Pless, to record at least 100 tackles in three consecutive seasons. His 114 tackles ranked second in the league, and he added 12 pass knockdowns, three sacks, an interception and a forced fumble in 18 games.

Williams and Findlay are both first-time selections. Williams recorded 62 tackles, eight pass knockdowns, three interceptions, three sacks and two forced fumbles in 17 games, with his three interceptions tying T.J. Lee for the team lead. Findlay, a North Vancouver product who took over as the starting safety, finished with 92 tackles, three tackles for a loss, five pass knockdowns and two interceptions in 18 games.

The Lions host the Saskatchewan Roughriders in the West Semi-Final on Saturday at BC Place.
