Steve Yzerman’s legendary path from Peterborough to Detroit added another milestone Thursday as the Hall of Fame centre was ranked No. 8 on the CHL’s Top 50 Players of the Last 50 Years list after a career that produced 1,755 NHL points, three Stanley Cups, Olympic gold and one of hockey’s most respected leadership legacies.
