Canada to host Nations League quarterfinal home leg at BMO Field on November 16

TORONTO — Canada's men's national team will play the home leg of its 2026-27 Concacaf Nations League A quarterfinal at BMO Field in Toronto on Monday, November 16, Canada Soccer announced Thursday.
Canada will open the two-legged series away from home, with the opponent and venue to be confirmed once the Nations League group stage concludes in October.
The stakes are significant. The four quarterfinal series winners will advance to the Concacaf Nations League Finals at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles in March 2027 and qualify directly for the 2027 Concacaf Gold Cup. The four losing teams will drop into the Gold Cup preliminary round.
Canada earned a bye straight into the quarterfinals as one of the region's four top-ranked nations, alongside Mexico, the United States and Panama, following its third-place finish in the 2024-25 edition of the tournament. The quarterfinals are a home-and-away series decided on aggregate goals.
The program arrives in November with momentum. Canada has reached the Nations League Finals in two of the last three editions, finishing runner-up in 2022-23 and third in 2024-25. A year ago, Canada booked its Finals berth with a 4-0 aggregate quarterfinal win over Suriname, sealed by a 3-0 home-leg victory at BMO Field in November 2024.
The November window will also close out a landmark 2026 for the men's program, which made a historic run to the Round of 16 at the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Tickets go on sale to the public Thursday, October 1 at 10 a.m. ET. CanadaRED members get a series of advance presale windows beginning Monday, September 28, plus an exclusive 25 per cent discount available only during the member presale. Visa cardholders get their own presale Wednesday, September 30 at 10 a.m. ET, and Visa is the only payment method accepted during that window. Group discounts of up to 30 per cent off regular prices are available for groups of 10 or more starting October 1.
