MANCHESTER — Bournemouth scored twice in five minutes late in the first half and beat Manchester United 3-0 at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Rayan opened the scoring in the 38th minute, and Marcus Tavernier doubled the lead in the 43rd to send Bournemouth into halftime up 2-0.
Evanilson added the third goal in the 71st minute to finish the scoring.
United had more of the ball and more attempts, finishing with 62 per cent of the possession and 17 shots to Bournemouth's 10, but Bournemouth scored on theirs and United did not. Captain Bruno Fernandes was an unused substitute for United.
