Begelton sits out again as six Stampeders miss Wednesday practice

Reggie Begelton missed a second straight day of practice on Wednesday, sitting out with a knee injury as the Calgary Stampeders continued preparations for Saturday’s regular-season finale against the BC Lions at McMahon Stadium.

Begelton was one of six Stampeders who did not participate in Wednesday’s session, according to the club’s injury report. Also held out were receiver Damien Alford (head), offensive lineman Brad Ashmore (foot), defensive back Adrian Greene (head), linebacker Eric Rascoe (hamstring) and offensive lineman Zack Williams (ankle). All six also missed Tuesday’s practice.

Three players were limited: receivers Ajou Ajou (neck) and Dejon Brissett (elbow), and defensive back Godfrey Onyeka (hamstring), who was upgraded after sitting out Tuesday.

Offensive lineman D’Antne Demery (ankle), defensive lineman Elijah Hills (ankle) and defensive back Derrick Moncrief (hamstring) were full participants for the second straight day.

The Stampeders practise again on Thursday, with the week's final injury report expected then. Calgary holds its walkthrough on Friday ahead of Saturday's 5 p.m. kickoff at McMahon Stadium.
