Bonhomme and Boyko miss Elks’ first Western Final practice

EDMONTON — The Edmonton Elks opened Western Final week with two players sidelined on Tuesday.

Defensive lineman DK Bonhomme (knee) and offensive lineman Brett Boyko (head) did not participate in the club's Day 1 practice at Play Alberta Field at Commonwealth Stadium, according to the club's injury report.

Four players were limited: linebacker Nick Anderson (calf), offensive linemen Mark Korte (head) and Carter O'Donnell (leg), and defensive back Ladarius Tennison (head).

The report was an updated version of the one the club issued earlier in the day. Linebacker Joel Dublanko (hamstring) and defensive back JJ Ross (groin) were listed as did not participate in the original report in error — both were full participants on Tuesday.

The other 14 players on the report, including running back Justin Rankin (ankle) and receiver Austin Mack (calf), were full participants.

The Elks host the BC Lions in the Western Final on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. ABT, with a berth in the 113th Grey Cup on the line.
