Stampeders add U.S. quarterback Jacolby Criswell

CALGARY — The Calgary Stampeders have added to their quarterback room, signing U.S. quarterback Jacolby Criswell on Tuesday.


Criswell spent the 2025 season at East Tennessee State Buccaneers, appearing in eight games while completing 85 of 138 pass attempts for nine touchdowns and two interceptions. He also added 277 rushing yards on 56 carries.


Before transferring to East Tennessee State, Criswell played at University of North Carolina from 2020-22 and returned to the Tar Heels in 2024 after a 2023 stint with University of Arkansas.




Across his time at North Carolina and Arkansas, the six-foot-one, 230-pound quarterback played 30 games, throwing for 19 touchdowns against seven interceptions while adding four rushing scores.


The Morrilton, Arkansas native joins a Calgary quarterback group looking to build depth heading into the 2026 CFL season.
