Stampeders bring football focus to annual Fanfest at McMahon Stadium
CALGARY — The Calgary Stampeders will welcome fans back to McMahon Stadium on Saturday as the club hosts its annual Fanfest celebration ahead of the 2026 CFL season.
The event, one of the organization’s largest fan gatherings each year, is free to attend, though fans are required to claim tickets in advance through the team’s official website. Season-ticket holders have already received tickets through their accounts.
Fans arriving on the east side of the stadium will have access to free parking along with a pancake-and-sausage breakfast running from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., courtesy of the Calgary Grey Cup Committee. Live music will also be featured during the breakfast festivities.
Once field access opens through the southeast gate, supporters will be able to take part in on-field activities from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., including autograph sessions with current players and alumni, football drills in the Combine Zone, mascot appearances, inflatables and a photo opportunity with the Grey Cup.
The club’s Outriders and Hype Team are also scheduled to perform throughout the afternoon.
General manager and head coach Dave Dickenson and team president Jay McNeil are expected to address fans from the south end-zone stage beginning at approximately 1:30 p.m.
The event will also include recognition for two of Calgary’s 2025 team award recipients. Defensive back Derrick Moncrief will be honoured as the Presidents’ Ring recipient, while receiver Jalen Philpot will be recognized for earning the Herm Harrison Memorial Award.
The Stamps Store will operate from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with additional merchandise available for purchase on the field. Meanwhile, the TELUS Patio beyond the north end zone will feature $6 happy-hour pricing on beers, burgers and hot dogs during the event.
Saturday’s Fanfest also arrives as Calgary continues preparations for the upcoming season.
The Stampeders have a bye in Week 2 of the CFL preseason before travelling north to face the Edmonton Elks on Friday, May 29 at 7 p.m. The club then opens the regular season at McMahon Stadium on Friday, June 5 with a 7 p.m. kickoff against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
