Canada's men are going back to Central America with a trip to the Nations League Finals on the line.
Canada Soccer confirmed Friday that the Canadian men's national team will face Guatemala in the 2026/27 Concacaf Nations League A quarterfinals — a two-legged, aggregate-goals series opening Friday, November 13 at Estadio Manuel Felipe Carrera in Guatemala City (9 p.m. ET) and closing Monday, November 16 at BMO Field in Toronto (8 p.m. ET).
Canada earned a bye straight into the quarterfinals as one of Concacaf's four top-ranked nations — alongside Mexico, the United States and Panama — after finishing third in the 2024/25 edition. Guatemala took the hard road, winning League A Group B to reach the quarterfinals for the first time in program history.
The stakes are double. The four quarterfinal winners advance to the Nations League Finals at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles in March 2027 — and punch their ticket directly to the 2027 Concacaf Gold Cup. The losers drop into the Gold Cup preliminary round.
Canada knows this road. The program has reached the Nations League Finals in two of the last three editions — runner-up in 2022-23, third place in 2024-25 — and rolled through the last quarterfinal with a 4-0 aggregate win over Suriname, sealed by a 3-0 home-leg victory at BMO Field in November 2024.
The November window closes out a landmark 2026 for the program, highlighted by the historic run to the Round of 16 at the FIFA World Cup 2026.
Both legs air live on OneSoccer. Tickets for the Toronto home leg are on sale now starting at $54.
