CALI, Colombia — Bianca Andreescu leads France's Alice Tubello 6-0, 5-4 in the semifinals of the WTA 125 Cali Open after play was suspended on Friday.
The eighth seed from Mississauga, Ont., was serving for the match at 5-4 in the second set when play was stopped.
Andreescu has not dropped a set this week. She beat Tamara Zidansek of Slovenia 6-2, 6-3 in the first round, Jazmin Ortenzi of Argentina 6-2, 6-3 in the second round and Luisina Giovannini of Argentina 6-1, 6-3 in the quarterfinals.
She is on a 13-match winning streak, with WTA 125 titles in Rovereto and Queretaro in the last month. A win over Tubello would put her in a third straight WTA 125 final.
The winner faces Leyna Romero Gormaz of Spain in Saturday's final. Romero Gormaz beat Julia Riera of Argentina 3-6, 7-5, 6-4 in the other semifinal.
Andreescu is ranked No. 109 in the world, up 20 places in this week's WTA rankings. Tubello is ranked No. 152. A former world No. 4, Andreescu last held a top-100 ranking in June 2025 and is closing on a return to it.
