Stampeders sign offensive lineman Bakyne Coly

CALGARY — The Calgary Stampeders added offensive line depth Saturday by signing U.S. lineman Bakyne Coly.

The 24-year-old spent the past two seasons at Purdue Boilermakers football, starting all 12 games at right tackle in 2025 while earning all-Big Ten academic honours for a second consecutive year.

Coly appeared in 11 games during his first season at Purdue in 2024, contributing as a reserve offensive lineman and on special teams before emerging as a full-time starter the following year.

Before transferring to Purdue, the 6-foot-7, 300-pound lineman began his collegiate career at Lawrence Tech in Michigan.

The Stampeders also placed U.S. offensive lineman Preston Nichols on the six-game injured list.
