Stampeders release Sept. 22 injury report: Begelton, Demery sit out Tuesday

CALGARY — The Calgary Stampeders released their latest Mayfair Diagnostics injury report on Tuesday, with veteran receiver Reggie Begelton headlining a short list of players held out of practice.

Begelton (head) did not participate in Tuesday's session, joined on the sidelines by offensive lineman D'Antne Demery (ankle).

Defensive lineman Elijah Hills (ankle) and offensive lineman Preston Nichols (pectoral) were both limited participants.

The report comes as the Stampeders turn the page from Saturday's dramatic 40-38 walk-off win over the Ottawa Redblacks, a victory powered by Jalen Philpot's career night — nine catches for 118 yards and a fourth-quarter touchdown that earned him CFL Player of the Week honours.

Begelton has barely played this season — he returned in Week 15 from the fractured leg that has sidelined him since Week 2 of 2025, and now he's out again with a head injury.

Calgary's next injury update is expected later this week ahead of its next game.
